Alicia McNamara oversees wardrobe direction as the Stylist for Canada's # 1 Entertainment News destination ET Canada. Alicia is the epitome of celebrity style having spent years in the ever-changing world of Costume Design where she worked on many high-profile television series including NBC's Covert Affairs.
While studying Political Science, History and Fine Art at the University of Toronto, Alicia maintained her craft and passion for fashion design. As a self-taught seamstress and pattern maker, her early pursuits morphed into the creation of highly stylized evening and bridal wear for private clients. After completing her Bachelors in Education and Masters in Teaching, Alicia decided to pursue a career in fashion exclusively.
Not only brave but bold, Alicia started from scratch interning with a well known Costumer and Couturier in Toronto to solidify her skills and gain industry experience. Today, Alicia is on the Board of Directors of FGI Toronto and mentors students with the Internship Program at ET Canada where she is both a stylist and a teacher.
Describing her style as classic and chic with sexual expressiveness, Alicia believes that every woman can be uniquely feminine, while moving comfortably through life. Though it takes a conscious sense of who you want to be, the secret is to always appear effortless. Taking inspiration from twenty-somethings to contemporary ladies, Alicia scours every corner of The 6ix and beyond to source, assemble, and create a vision that is as unique as it is stylish.
